Built by Holiday Kitchens since 1946

Holiday Kitchens began in 1946 when three brothers, Harold, Herb and Miles Johnston, opened a millwork shop in Rice Lake, Wisconsin to serve the post-war building boom. They moved from millwork and shutters into custom cabinetry, and today Holiday is one of the largest custom cabinet makers in the country. Nearly 200 people build every order to your specifications in a 150,000 sq. ft. factory, with an in-house color lab for custom finishes.

Our fully custom line is built to order by Holiday Kitchens, a custom cabinet maker building in Rice Lake, Wisconsin since 1946. Every piece is made for your space, your sizes and your finish. Choose it when a standard or semi-custom cabinet can't do what you have in mind.

What only fully custom can do

Our in-stock and semi-custom lines are excellent for most kitchens. These are the projects where only a fully custom cabinet will do.

Built to fit your room, not filled in

Every cabinet is made to the exact width, height and depth your space needs. There are no fillers covering the gaps, and walls run cleanly from end to end. Odd ceilings, angled walls and old-house quirks are no problem.

Doors you won't find in a catalog line

Over 150 door styles: mullion glass doors, stainless steel and aluminum doors, high-gloss acrylic, laminate and thermofoil slabs. You can also choose 2¼" or 3" stiles and rails and pick the edge profile, so a classic shaker can be fine-tuned to your proportions.

Real wood species, stains and hand finishes

Choose from 13 wood species, including walnut, rift-cut white oak, quarter-sawn oak and cherry, plus character grades with knots and natural marks. Stain, paint or any color from the in-house color lab can be finished with hand-brushed glazes or an aged Vintage Artistry finish.

Inset and beaded inset doors

Inset is the furniture-maker's look: the door sits inside the face frame, flush with it, with an even reveal all around. It takes precise, made-to-order building. Choose full overlay, partial overlay, beaded inset, flush inset or frameless, and mix them in one kitchen.

Custom range hoods and statement pieces

Wood hoods, fluted hoods and tapered hoods are built in the same wood and finish as your cabinets. Furniture-style islands, posts, corbels and display cabinets are designed around your range and layout, so the focal point of the room matches everything else.

Matching rooms beyond the kitchen
